Homework & Reminders 10-25-18
- Oakman Folder- Sign and return behavior calendar for OCTOBER— parents please initial next to the circle for today.
- Reading/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to “read” the NEW
early readers in your child’s bag. Remember there are 3 ways to “read” a book! Also, practice counting using the 100s chart (point to each number as you count).** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and, a, we, go, my
- READING GROUP BAG—> read black and white book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: “Find a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the /s/ sound. ETC.” Sign reading log!
- Math- Lesson 30. Please read the homeworker helper page and discuss with your child and have your child do the homework page. Please check their work, especially number formation and have them erase and fix if the formation of their numbers is incorrect.

***PLEASE CUT OUT and make cards from lesson 29 homework (page 120) this is a great way to practice numbers 1-10 with number and quantities. This will help them with their test next week. One side with numbers only as show below and other side with dots as shown.

Halloween is coming!! Please read information about our classroom and school activities!

Classroom Party
Our classroom party will begin after lunch @ 11:45 students may get dressed in their costumes (parents welcome!)
@12:00 we will do games and activities in the classroom (I would love to have parents at each game station- let me know if you can help out!)
@1:30-3:00 we will do trunk or treat (see information below from PTA)
We will also have a pizza party in the classroom before we go home!! I am asking each child to bring $2.00 for pizza and looking for a volunteer to bring juice! The trunk or treat will be $3.00 to support our PTA so $5.00by next Wednesday please.

Dear Parents,
Our field trip to the apple orchard is TOMORROW (Wednesday, October 24th)We will leave on the bus at around 9:15.
Some things to remember:
Dress appropriate for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for being outside. (HATS, GLOVES, and HEAVY COAT)
ALL students and parents chaperons must pack a healthy lunch and bring a drink. NO GLASS!.
