- Reading bag- 35 TOTAL NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS one, little, play, me, here, am, do, not, who, with— I, like, the, see, we, go, can, she, a, at, is, was, will, he, has, on, in, and, you, up, look, it, my, to, and dog. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!* Practice spelling the words if your child can read them. Spelling will start next week!! (A letter will be sent home with words on Monday!!!)
- READING GROUP BAG — READ everyday and focus on fluency and comprehension. *If your child did not get a new book, focus on RETELLING— new books will not be given everyday so more focus can be on comprehension. To move UP reading levels students need to be able to read the words accurately and COMPREHEND (understand what I read). After reading books, please practice using the handout for the “retelling rope” see picture below!! (Don’t forget to ask your child– what was your favorite part of the story and WHY? or what did this story remind you of?)
4. Math Homework MODULE 4 Book, Lesson 4 and 5— homework helper is on page 17 and 19 and homework is on page 17 and 21.

5. Spelling Notebook:
- Spelling words are glued into your child’s spelling notebook. We will have our test on Friday, February 14th!!!,
- Friday- Sunday: Practice!
- Practice reading and writing your new words for next week!
6. POEM BOOKS ARE BACK!!!!!!!! Please read/review old poems. No new one this week, just review. A NEW POEM will be added next week.
7. NEW LIBRARY BOOKS were chose on Tuesday. Please read the library book to your child this week and ask them the comprehension questions for the retelling rope paper inside their reading group bag.
