Tonight’s Homework:

1. Folder- practice writing our 5 sight words.  They should be able to read AND write each of these words.

2. Reading Bags- Practice letters, books, and sight words.  I started giving book room books for students to practice reading at home (not all students got them yet, hopefully tomorrow).  These books belong to the school so do not lose them.  They are $5.00 if lost.

3. Math Bags- students got 10 frames today with 10 red counters to practice making numbers.  Just like when reading when making numbers you start with counters in the top left then fill top row and then return sweep at begin at bottom left and moving to the right.  There are directions for some activities/games on the back.

Reminders:

TOMORROW is FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT.  It is from 4:30-6:00 (students must go home and come back AND be accompanied by an adult–not just an older sibling).  The COST is $2.00 per person and includes a bag of popcorn.  Pizza, juice, and baked goods will be for sale.  THIS BENEFITS PTA, thanks in advance for your support.

***PTA will be having a bake sale on Friday, October 17th, please send in cookies, cupcakes, donuts, brownies, juice boxes, and please put your child’s name on it so they can get a special prize from Mrs. Dakroub.
