• Oakman Folder- Sign and return behavior calendar for OCTOBER— parents please initial next to the circle for today. Letter Pp bag! Yesterday we talked about the letter Pp and its /p/ sound, like in popcorn, pig, pretzel Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the p sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class (last chance! ).  Thank you!
• Reading/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to “read” the NEW
  early readers in your child’s bag.  Remember there are 3 ways to “read” a book!  Also, practice counting using the 100s chart (point to each number as you count).

  ** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and, a, we, go

• READING GROUP BAG—> read black and white book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: “Find a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the /s/ sound. ETC.” Sign reading log!  
• Math- NO MATH HOMEWORK TONIGHT— work on number formation 0-10!
•  EurekaMathNumberFormationPostersandPoems (2)
• **if your child is having difficulty with formation, please print the poems and reference at home—(say the poem as they write the number— this is what we do in class)

Our field trip to the apple orchard is TOMORROW (Wednesday, October 24^th)We will leave on the bus at around 9:15.

Some things to remember:

Dress appropriate for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for being outside. (HATS, GLOVES, and HEAVY COAT)

ALL students and parents chaperons must pack a healthy lunch and bring a drink.  NO GLASS!.
