1. Oakman Folder- Sign and return behavior calendar for OCTOBER— parents please initial next to the circle for today.    Letter Gg bag! Yesterday we talked about the letter Gg and its /g/ sound, like in gorilla, goat, gum etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the g sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (last day).  Thank you!
   
   
2. Reading/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to “read” the NEW
   early readers in your child’s bag.  Remember there are 3 ways to “read” a book!  Also, practice counting using the 100s chart (point to each number as you count).

   Also, practice sight words: NEW word “and”

   ** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and

   Look for these words in books AND work on writing them if students know the, by sight (reading)! *They should memorize these words and know them by sight.  Students will have a TEST over the first 10 sight words TOMORROW**List on back of October Calendar.**

3. READING GROUP BAG—> read black and white book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: “Find a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the /s/ sound. ETC.” Sign reading log!  and practice NAME PUZZLE if you got one. ALSO, PRACTICE SIGHT WORDS ON RING TO BE READY FOR TEST ON FRIDAY!!!!
4. Math- Read over Lesson 21 homework helper  on page 85 and 86 and do homework on page 87 and 88.  PLEASE check that all lessons up to 19 are complete but do not go ahead.
