Tonight’s Homework:

1. Folder-  Yy bag!  Today we talked about the letter Yy and its /y/ sound, like in yo-yo, yellow, or yarn.  Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the w sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, January 26^th).
2. Reading Bag- DIGRAPH AND BLENDS chart– please review all the circled sound-letter relationships, sight words, books!!— 15-20 minutes EACH Night! students will be tested over their sight words THIS week, so make sure to practice each night!
3. Math Bag- shapes book and math games.
4. POEM BOOKS!  still missing a few books- please return to school so we can add more poems!

Reminders:

1.  It is a short week with Friday being a half day due to the end of the marking period.  This also means we will be doing a lot of assessments so please continue to make sure your child is getting enough sleep each night, eating healthy, having a positive attitude, and doing homework each night!
2. TODAY starts Oakman School’s water drive.  Please bring in a case of water by FRIDAY to help families in Flint.  On Friday morning, there will be a semi-truck at Oakman to take our collections to Flint, Michigan.  Please take your donations to the stage on the gym.
