- Oakman Folder- sign and return behavior calendar for JANUARY!!
- Reading bag- 35 TOTAL NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS one, little, play, me, here, am, do, not, who, with— I, like, the, see, we, go, can, she, a, at, is, was, will, he, has, on, in, and, you, up, look, it, my, to, and dog. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!* Practice spelling the words if your child can read them. Spelling will start next week!! (A letter will be sent home with words on Monday!!!)
- READING GROUP BAG — Some students got new books and others have the same book. READ everyday and focus on fluency and comprehension. *If your child did not get a new book, focus on RETELLING— new books will not be given everyday so more focus can be on comprehension. To move UP reading levels students need to be able to read the words accurately and COMPREHEND (understand what I read). After reading books, please practice using the handout for the “retelling rope” see picture below!! (Don’t forget to ask your child– what was your favorite part of the story and WHY? or what did this story remind you of?)
4. Math Homework-MODULE 3 Lesson 30 on page 318 (homework helper is on page 317).
