Homework— ( 4 things!!!) AND LIBRARY BOOKS MUST BE RETURNED ON MONDAY!!
- Oakman Folder- sign and return behavior calendar for OCTOBER! *PLEASE COMPLETE APPLE OF MY EYE PAPER if not done and make sure number/dot cards are in red bag— I will collect tomorrow.
2. Reading bag- NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS— I, like, the, see, we, go, can, she, a, at, is, was, and will. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!* And work on using them correctly when speaking in COMPLETE SENTENCES for example: Today is Friday. Yesterday was Thursday. Tomorrow will be Saturday.
3. READING GROUP BAG – Read and Re-read for fluency books to be ready to WRITE about our reading– work on letter sounds!!! (Also can you login code and password to read/listen to more books on the computer)
Please fill in log each day!!! Please use the pointer finger to put their finger under the first letter of each word as they read. Please read the book at least 3 times and sign the paper inside their bags so I know they did their job! Please send the reading bag back to school each day. ***IF YOU HAVE FLUENCY DOWN, PARENTS PLEASE EXTEND the reading by asking questions such as:
- Find the WORD “the” on this page.
- What LETTER do you see at the beginning of the WORD?
- What LETTER do you see at the end of the WORD?
- After reading, can you RETELL what happened?? What happened in the beginning, middle, and end?
4. Math Homework- Lesson 34 homework page 139– must cut out “cards” and put in zip lock bag in folder) (helper on page 137).
