Homework— (3 things!!!)

1. Oakman Folder- sign and return behavior calendar. Please see note about POETRY BOOKS and read the poem with your child tonight. They should be able to read it mostly by themselves— our focus right now is ONE TO ONE- making sure they point at each number/word as they read to poem.

2. Reading/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to “read” NEW books each night we talked about three ways to read a book… *read the pictures, *. read the words, *. retell the story. and practice ABCs using chart. NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS— I and like. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!

3. Math Homework Workbook– Module 1, lesson 10 on page 43 (homework helper is page 41) . ***REMEMBER 1 page each night!! *****.

***Make sure all 3 things come back to school in backpacks!!! It was another long day – please send in reusable water bottles with your child’s name on it so that they can keep it on the table and drink water all day long. Also, please make sure your child is going to bed early so they can get 10-12 hours of sleep and be ready to learn at school.
