1. Oakman Folder- Sign and return behavior calendar for OCTOBER— parents please initial next to the circle for today.  Please look at the permission slip—both paper AND money need to be collected together.  We need by Wednesday if you plan to go with your child (I-check must be filled out from beginning of the year to attend field trips!)Letter Hh bag!Today we talked about the letter Hh and its /h/ sound, like in heart, horse, hot etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the h sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, October 16th).  Thank you!
2. Reading/Math Bag-Please take 15 minutes to “read” the NEW
   early readers in your child’s bag.  Remember there are 3 ways to “read” a book!  Also, practice counting using the 100s chart (point to each number as you count).

3. READING GROUP BAG—> read black and white book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: “Find a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the /s/ sound. ETC.” Sign reading log!  and practice NAME PUZZLE if you got one. 
4. Math- Read over Lesson 24 homework helper  on page 97 do homework on page 99. PLEASE check that all lessons up to 24 are complete but do not go ahead. Continue to work on letter formation of numbers 1-8 using the poems we have learned in class—see link below: EurekaMathNumberFormationPostersandPoems (2)
5. **if your child is having difficulty with formation, please print the poems and reference at home—(say the poem as they write the number— this is what we do in class)
