Tonight’s Homework:
- Folder: Please Sign Behavior Calendar!
- Reading Bag- practice all sight words, new word today, “red” read books— we have been practicing the stategy of pointing to the first letter, when you come to a word you don’t know make the sound and look at the picture for a clue….FOR EXAMPLE: I see a c___? look at picture of a cat and figure out the word CAT! Today we PRACTICED login into computers using numbers on reading bags to go on websites— GO ON MYON to listen to all kinds of books!!! This is a great way to learn vocabulary for NWEA!3.
- Math Bag- we are doing Geometry in math! Practice reading your shape books! ALSO GO ON MOBY MAX for lots of great math practice!
- SPELLING NOTEBOOK– Tonight’s homework is RAINBOW WORDS— write each letter in a different color. ALSO On the back of the spelling notebook is our NEW Poem Book. Read the poem together and sign the back cover and return to school.
Reminders:
Report cards will be sent home tomorrow. I apologize that they were not sent today… we were running late from library! They will go home tomorrow in an envelope. PLEASE keep the report card and NWEA report at home and RETURN THE SIGNED ENVELOPE TO SCHOOL!
Tomorrow we have GYM— wear gym shoes!
Thursday: Get your UNI tickets. This month we will raffle Uni the Pink Unicorn. It will run until the end of the Month and we will announce the winner at the assembly on March 1st.
Friday : Parent Meeting: STRESS MANAGEMENT
Many of you have indicated from the survey we took at the beginning of the year you would like to learn coping skills for stressful times. Join us on Friday at 8:55 am in the cafeteria for a parent meeting. The presentation’s topic will be Stress Management (How to reduce, prevent and cope with stress.) Two gift cards will be raffled at the end.
We will also be introducing our Oakman spirit school clothing line. This is NOT uniforms but rather t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies with the Oakman logo on it. You can have your child’s name put on the clothing too. Order forms will be available. Join us for some great parent time!

لقد اشار العديد منكم خلال الاستطلاع الذي اجريناه في بداية العام الدراسي بالرغبة في تعلم مهارات التكيف مع الاوقات العصيبة. ندعوكم الى اجتماع نهار الجمعة الساعة 8:55 صباحاً في قاعة الطعام. سنناقش كيفية التعامل مع الظعط النفسي (خفض ومنع والتغلب على الظغط النفسي). سيكون هناك سحب وتوزيع لبطاقاط الهدايا في نهاية الاجتماع.
كما سيتم تقديم ملابس الاسبوع الترفيهي وهي عبارة عن تي شرت، بلوزات وهوديز مكتوب عليها شعار مدرسة اوكمن. يمكنكم وضع اسم ولدكم على هذه الملابس. استمارات طلب الشراء ستكون متوفرة لكم. نتمنى حضوركم هذا اللقاء الممتع!
