- Social Studies Timeline Project- These projects were due today. If your child did not turn it in, they were sent home with the paper again. Please make sure they turn it in by Friday, January 22 or they will NOT receive any credit. Remember to have your child practice reading each of the sentences on their paper so they can share with the class. Most students share today and did an excellent job! Thanks for helping to prepare them at home!

Reminders:
NWEA TESTING IS THIS WEEK:
Today (Tuesday) we did a practice reading session.
TOMORROW- LATE START Wednesday, January 20th at 9:45 will be Reading.
Thursday, January 21st will be MATH at 9:00am
Friday, January 22nd we will finish testing if needed.
The NWEA test is a VERY important piece of data that helps us determine if your child is on track and ready for 1st grade (along with other pieces of information, such as DRA, math checklists, various performance tasks, etc.)
It also allows us to see areas of strengths and weaknesses. This allows us to focus instruction and provide challenging lessons at their level.
As discussed at parent teacher conferences in the fall, each student has a growth goal for this test. We will be sending a NWEA report home with their report card to show you how they did and if the met their goal.
Thank you for your support to help each child do their BEST on this important TEST!
***Please make sure your child gets a good night sleep, eats a healthy breakfast, and comes to school with a positive attitude!!***
Thank you,
Michelle Rawson
