I have posted more review questions. A few more today than the previous two days. Again, these are review questions from previous math homework. I am keeping track of students in regards to who is and isn’t turning in work. So please try your best to do at least one thing everyday.

On google classroom under Math topics I posted a google doc from my drive for some review questions. Try to do all three and then keep going to see if you can think of other similar problems. Happy solving!

March 23rd- 27th 2020: Student Learning Expectations

  • All students will be expected to read for 30 minutes per day and write a summary of what they read per day. This can be written on loose leaf paper, turned in as email, or in google classroom. Please date each summary. The summary should be 3-5 sentences long. 
  • All students will be expected to practice their weekly spelling words: authenticity (authentic) magician (magic) electricity (electric)publicity (public) criticize  (Critique) crumble (crumb) designate (design)muscular (muscle) residential (resident) columnist (column) moisten (moist) resignation (resign) signature (sign) soften (soft) bombard (bomb) condemnation (condemn) musician (music) criticize (critic)official (office) signal (sign)

Activities: 5 times each, ABC order, use 10 to write a paragraph, rainbow words, practice test. 

  • All students will be expected to practice math facts: Multiplication Facts 1-12, work on division problems, Multiplication problems: 

Examples: 789 x 45=    1254/ 12= Have fun! Create your own! 

  • All students will be expected to complete a Cause and Effect writing piece: 3-5 paragraphs long. Prompt: Pretend that technology disappeared forever. What would life be like? Write about the effects of this on our world. Include lots of details! 

Students with computer access can work on the following: 

Look up all the acts that led to the Revolutionary War on the above website.

Chromebooks

Chromebook pick on Monday March 23rd at 9:00.  Please use the pickup/drop lane.  Parents will stay in their car and a staff member will assist you.  Please wear gloves if possible and remain at least six feet from staff.  A parent has to check the chromebook out.  This will be the last opportunity to check one out. 

Raz Kids

Today try to log into Raz-Kids . I have created a reading assignment. Read that using a device with a microphone. Then, work on reading books at your level to LEVEL UP! Happy Reading!

Zearn

I updated Zearn again and I am happy that we have jumped up to 11 students logging in to do work. If you are not able to log in to Zearn please let me know so that I can assist you.

Chromebooks

We will be handing out chromebooks to students from River Oaks that need them tomorrow March 19th, at 9:00.  Parents you will need WIFI in order for these to work and will be responsible for any damages.  This will be done in a drive through fashion.  Parents will not get out of their cars.
