River Oaks has received the 2019 Michigan Evergreen status.  This means we have implemented at least 20 energy saving and environmental tasks.  Thank you to our green School Committee for all your hard work.

PTA will be sponsoring a Spring Celebration on Friday April 12, 2019.

Cost is $6.00 per person includes, Pizza, Juice and Chips

Celebration will begin at 5:00 p.m.sharp, no food will be served after 5:00

Extras will be sold at the celebration: Cotton Candy, Bake Sale, Popcorn

Tomorrow is our class field trip to the Ford Rouge Factory. The bus will be here at 9:30 am and we will return at 2:00 pm. Please send a packed lunch.

Please come join all your River Oaks friends and some staff members for a fun night of roller skating on March 12th at Riverside Arena in Livonia.  Skating is from 6:00-8:00 pm.  Cost is $6.00 per skater.  You can purchase tickets in advance or pay at the door.  S

Pizza kits are due March 7, 2019.  Please send in your order form and all money on or before March 7, 2019.  Checks payable to River Oaks.  Delivery will be Friday, March 15th.  You must be able to pick up your orders on Friday from 1:00-3:30 pm.  We do not have any place to store the kits and they need to be refrigerated.

“Read around the barn yard” is the theme this year.  Please look for the reading calendar that went home.  We have lots of fun events going on during this month.  The reading goal this year is a school wide total of 30,000 minutes.  If we reach our goal the students will receive a petting farm assembly.  Please watch for more information coming home.
