Wednesday October 17th will be late start. School starts one hour later at 9:35. Buses will also run one hour later.

November 4th will be picture retake day. If you did not like your child’s picture you can have them retaken again on November 4th. YOu will need to send back the picture packet and they will redo the picture for you. If your child was absent, you can still purchase a packet, just come to the main office and fill out a picture form to pay for your pictures.

Again this year the Dearborn Heights Fire Department is holding a collection drive for Homeless Veterans. Please consider helping out, please drop off all donations in the box in the main office. Thank you in advance for your support.

Donations needed are: toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, shaving cream, liquid soap, hand lotion, combs, hair brush, lipstick, deodorant, nail polish, and disposable razors.

We are going to Camp Ohiyesa in Holly, MI from October 9th-October 11th.

There is NO remaining balance for camp.

Reminders:

Your child must be dropped off and picked up from River Oaks. They may not ride the bus to or from school.

Arrive at 8:35 am on Wednesday, October 9th.

Students will return Friday, October 11th at 12:00 pm.

The public is invited to cheer young runners from across the District as they participate in the eighth annual Cipriano Run on Oct. 11. Students in fourth through eighth grades will race in this event at Ford Field Park.

Wednesday, Oct. 2nd, is statewide Count Day for Michigan public schools. Count Day is when public schools tally the number of students attending their schools. Count information is critical to districts because each student translates into state funding.

Please be sure to send your child to school tomorrow October 2nd.

PTA will be having a Halloween bake sale on Friday, October 4th. PTA will need donations for the bake sale such as cookies, cupcakes, mini bags of chips, juice boxes, and Little Debbie treats. Please drop off donations on Thursday, October 3rd or before 1:00 on Friday, October 4th. Thank you in advance for supporting the PTA. Everything sells for 50 cents each.

The PTA is excited for another great school year! Family membership is $10.00 per family. Your membership helps provide classroom supplies, school assemblies, field trips, and so much more. First PTA meeting is October 8, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the school cafeteria. On the agenda will be the upcoming bake sale and Trunk to Treat event.
