Homework

Homework

Please be aware, when a student does not complete classroom assignments, it is their responsibility to complete their work that evening in addition to the assigned homework. The responsibility of doing homework includes turning it in completed neatly the next day. Credit cannot be given for incomplete or missing homework.

Parental or adult assistance may be needed with some assignments. It is necessary to look over your child’s homework once they have completed it to make sure it was completed correctly. All homework is collected and corrected.

Thank you for your support. Please contact me if you have any questions at 313-827-6750.

Meet the Teacher

Welcome to Room 22!

Dear Parents,
My name is Sarah Quartana. This is my 3rd year teaching at River Oaks. I came from teaching in Eastpointe Public Schools where I worked at Forest Park Elementary for three years. I worked at a charter school in Detroit for three years prior. I completed my Bachelor’s Degree nine years ago, but I continue to keep current with teaching instruction, curriculum, and classroom management. I’ve been married to my husband Rocco for seven years. We have three beautiful daughters named Mila, Ilaria, and Tessa. We also have a cute puppy, Abby that is seven years old. My favorite place to be is with my family and friends!
When I am not with my family and friends, I am lucky enough to do something else that I love and that is teaching. My goal is to meet the individual needs of the students in our class. I want to provide a path for your children to learn and enjoy their experience in fourth grade. To reach my goal, I am going to need your support in being a partner in your child’s education. By working together, your child will have a very successful year.
I look forward to getting to know you better. If you need to contact me, please see the information below.
Sincerely,
Sarah Quartana
