Besides doing Community Helpers in our classroom, March is “Reading Month.” There is a list of activities the school will be doing to celebrate Reading Month. However, due to age level, our kids will only be participating in some of them. I will let you know each week what activities we felt were appropriate. This Friday, March 1 Reading Month will be kicked off with the book swap. Every Tuesday we are supposed to have a mystery reader. This is a surprise, so if you would like to come in and read to the class on a Tuesday, let us know. Shhhhhh it’s a secret!

Good Morning!
Starting today we will be taking registration for next year’s preschoolers. Registration fee is $200, however we can provide the $25 off coupon. If your child is eligible for kindergarten, the forms are available on the district website. There is no need to go to the office for them. We are giving next year’s preschoolers one week to register. Next Monday, we will open registration up to the public.
This week P.T.A. is collecting box tops. Send in your box tops in a ziploc bag labeled with teacher’s name and grade. The grade with the most submissions by Thursday will win a lunch pizza party. Let’s see how many we can collect.
All students should bring in used books this week for our second annual book swap. Make sure they are grade appropriate (no adult books). The swap will take place this Friday, March 1st. They are also looking for volunteers to do a 1 or 2 hour shift to help with the swap. This simply requires handing out plastic bags to the kids, and straighten up the books after each class has visited.
Have a great week!
