Hope you had a nice long weekend. I loved the weather yesterday!
Tomorrow, April 23 we have a STEAM assembly at 11:45. They are looking for parent volunteers to help with the assembly. Different classes are scheduled for different times. The times range from 8:45-2:00. If you can volunteer all day or part of the day, please see Ms. Bernadette. It will be appreciated!
Wednesday, April 24 is a late start. As always, this is a choice if you come an hour later or regular time.
This will be the last week for Friday folders. We will be working on progress reports in May. As always, if you have an questions about your child, we will be happy to help.
Also during the month of May, we will be celebrating Michigan. Every Wednesday, starting May 1, your child may bring in a show and tell of a product that is made in Michigan, or pictures from a place in Michigan. This may include family vacations. They may also wear shirts from different places in Michigan. This is always a fun month, especially since we will be celebrating a Michigan ice cream party at the end of this unit!
Don’t forget we will be in the gym at 3:00 today for the K/1 concert. If you need to get your child early, please come down there to get them. You will still need to come back to the classroom to get their things and sign them out.
Hope you all enjoyed the pictures. As you can see we had a little egg hunt in the classroom this morning. The kids really enjoyed it!
Tomorrow there is NO SCHOOL! Enjoy the long weekend!
Tomorrow is the last day to nominate someone for the Impact Awards. Staff would include secretaries, principals, custodians, etc. People that make a difference for all of us. Please visit the district website for a nomination form.
Today we are sending home permission slips to go to the zoo on Wednesday, June 12. We need to get the money and slips in early for this trip. Remember a parent must accompany the child. We will be going with the K and 1st grade classes. If you are a zoo member, simply return the slip and write member. This is due Friday, May 3.
Tomorrow, we will be attending the K/1 concert at 3:00. If you need to pull your child early, you must walk down to the gym to get them.
Please make sure you stop and see us today for a “second look” for your emergency information. We need all info updated. Some of you have missing paperwork as well. This includes updates on physicals especially MMR vaccinations. Your child will not be allowed to attend, if physicals are not updated! Very important with the recent outbreak with measles. We will be asking for you to initial your emergency cards. Please make sure you do this TODAY.
