Today your child will be bringing home a library book from our little classroom library. The book may be kept for one week, and is due back every Friday. If your child does not return the book on time, they will not be able to check another one out, until it is returned. We discussed taking care of the book and being responsible for the name card in it. They are learning to be independent and responsible!
Scholastic Book Club orders are due today. Please make sure you and your child go over the orders and pick the books together.
Field trip money is also due today.
Looking ahead….next Friday, October 11 is a half day. Your child must be picked up no later than 11:45.
Wednesday, October 16 is a late start. This is also the day Howe Spirit Wear money is due.
Friday, October 18 is our field trip to Plymouth Orchards.
Tuesday, October 22 is Wayne County Hearing Screening. We still need slips filled out regardless if your child has had hearing issues in the past or not.
Friday, October 25 is picture day. Details to follow.
Thursday, October 31 is our Fall Harvest Celebration. Details to follow.

The nurse has informed me that the hearing slips for Wayne County must be turned in regardless if your child has had hearing issues or not. Everyone must turn in those slips.

Today your child will be bringing home another Scholastic order. This will be due this Friday. I am making sure the order goes in early, so that you will have plenty of time to get books before Halloween.
Also they will be bringing home a “Book It” calendar and information sheet. This is sponsored by Pizza Hut. If you read to your child during the month, simply color in the days you have read. Turn them in after the month is over, and I will give you a coupon for a free personal pan pizza for your child.
I still have not received All About Me sheets, Wayne County Screening, and Language Assistance. Please return ASAP.
Also, field trip money is due this Friday. Please let us know if you are not coming. If you are please tell us if you are meeting us at the orchard, instead of meeting at school.
