Today the children went to the book fair. They previewed books they may want to purchase. We will be purchasing books tomorrow. If you choose to send money for these books tomorrow, please make sure to add the 6% sales tax to your order.
We are glad to see children wearing snow boots. However, please make sure they have shoes, or even slippers to change into. The snow boots cause our floor to be wet and full of salt. In the last couple of years, parents have just left slippers at school for their children to wear during the winter months.
Lastly, if your child is absent for any reason, please either email one of us or call. This is very important since a weekly report must go out to the health department. We appreciate your cooperation.
Please remember to have your child dress for the weather. Yes, we will continue to go outside during the winter months. This is mandated by the state. Also make sure your child’s extra clothes are weather appropriate. Please change them seasonally.
All Scholastic book club orders are due this Friday, November 8. Tomorrow would be a good day to pick out books with your child.
The book fair is next week. They are looking for volunteers to help. Set up day is Monday after school. Preview day is Tuesday and shopping day is Wednesday.
Today your child will be bringing home a permission slip for our next field trip to Cranbrook Science Center. The trip is Friday, December 13. We need the slips and money back early.
The children are having a wonderful time today between the party in the gym and craft party. Thanks again to the families who have volunteered their time and crafts to make this a special day.
Tomorrow is a half day. Please pick up your child no later than 11:45. They may also dress in costume.
Tuesday there will be NO SCHOOL.
The children are bringing home Scholastic book club fliers today. These will be due November 8.
The children have made bags for the treats to pass. Everyone can bring in one treat for each child. We have 12 children. Please make sure the treats are nut free.
The children will be attending the party in the gym, followed by our craft party.
Please no costumes tomorrow. Have your child wear black, orange, or fall colors. Costumes may be worn on the half day Friday.
Pizza Hut book it forms are due on Friday. If you completed the sheet, you may turn it in to me. Your child will receive a free personal pan pizza for participating.
Thursday will be orange/black/Fall colors day. The children are making bags today for all the goodies they will be receiving on Thursday. Please remember when you bring a treat to pass-NO NUTS.
Friday is dress up like a book character day. It is also a half day.
The office has asked us to remind parents there should be absolutely no one in the halls. If you have to give something to a child, please hand it to a teacher. Also, children can take coats off and put away their belongings by themselves. Please adhere to no one in the hall, this is for safety reasons. We appreciate your cooperation.
Tonight is the Monster Mash dance from 6-8. This is a free event. Pizza and snacks will be available for purchase.

Thursday, October 31 we will be attending a party in the gym. This party is from 9:35-10:10. Mr. Borg is still looking for parents to volunteer to run games. If you would like to help, just show up that day. From 10:20-11:20 will be our craft day. Please remember to bring in a treat for each child (12) . No tree nuts please.
