Hello! Please remember when providing snack that it is a HEALTHY NUT FREE snack. Of course, when there is a birthday, a special treat is acceptable only if it is nut free. Have your child help you plan and shop for the healthy snack when it is their turn to bring it in.
Scholastic orders and picture retakes are due this Friday. Thank you to everyone that has placed a book order so far.
P.T.A. is still in need of help for the Holiday Boutique. If you have free time next Tuesday through Thursday, please consider helping.
We will be have a winter craft party on Thursday, December 19 from 10:00-11:00. Once again we will be needing 3 parents to purchase and do a craft with the children. We will take the first 3 people like we did last time.

Today your child is coming home with a Scholastic flyer. The orders will be due this Friday. This is to ensure you will get them before the next break.
Picture retakes will be this Friday. If you are not happy with your pictures, please return the complete package, so your child can have their picture taken.
Your child will also be bringing home the December Book It Calendar. The November ones are due. Please turn in for your child’s free pizza.
Next week is the Holiday Boutique. P.T.A. is looking for volunteers for Tuesday through Thursday.
Next Friday, December 13 is our field trip to Cranbrook.
Hope you will all be using your Indian corn and pumpkin turkeys at your Thanksgiving tables. The children really enjoyed making these special projects.
When we return to school next Monday, book it forms are due.

Today the children will be coming home with a note from P.T.A. about the upcoming Holiday Boutique. The children always have enjoyed during their own shopping there.
We will be doing International Holidays during December. Please volunteer to come in to talk about a holiday, do a craft, bring ethnic food etc. The children always enjoys when parents share their holiday. Plus we all can learn something about each other’s cultures.

This is a two day week. We have 2 fun projects planned for Thanksgiving. We are excited to do them with the kids.
We are still waiting for pumpkins for one of our Thanksgiving projects. Please bring in a pie sized pumpkin for your child.
Next week there is no school Wednesday, November 27-Friday, November 29 due to the Thanksgiving break. We will only have school Monday and Tuesday of next week.
Field trip money is due next Monday, November 25.
Picture retakes will be Friday, December 6. Please bring back your package December 2-6 if you are not satisfied.
December we will be celebrating International Holidays. We are looking for parents to volunteer to talk about a holiday your celebrate. You may include a craft, story, special food, etc. Whatever, you can think of to make your holiday special. It can be a short presentation due to the children’s attention span. In the past we have had Christmas, Ramadan, Diwali, Hannakuh, etc. The children always love when a parent comes to present. Please consider doing this for our classroom.
We will be doing a craft for Thanksgiving with pumpkins. Each child will be needing a pie sized pumpkin or a little larger. No big pumpkins please. Sometimes pumpkins are hard to find right now. If you find pumpkins please let me know, so I can share on this blog with other parents. We will need the pumpkins by next Friday, November 22.
Today is the book fair. Please make sure to add 6% sales tax with your purchases.
Your child should dress with all winter gear, in case we go outside. This includes snow boots, snow pants, hats, and gloves. Otherwise your child will not be able to play. They still will have to come outside, since there is no staff to cover inside recess.
