Today your child brought home a note about our P.T.A. Please consider joining and attending meetings. It would be nice to have Preschool representation, input coming from our parents, and they always need volunteers. Our first full day was spent having the children get used to the classroom, playground rules, and working on independence. The “Montessori flip” was shown for children who were having trouble putting on their own coats. Ask your child if they can demonstrate it for you. Of course, we will continue to work on this. As the children become more acclimated they will be getting more presentations and be able to do more for themselves. Every day will get better as children are becoming more comfortable. We are looking forward to all the growth we will see this year!

Good Morning! I know this first week is hectic, and you are getting a lot of information. Things will fall into place soon. Please make sure your child has an extra set of clothing to be left at school. This should be kept in your child’s locker in a bag with their name on it. If you have not sent in supplies, please do so soon. Make sure your child has items for rest time. No pillows or stuffed animals PLEASE.

Hello Everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Tuesday, September 5 will be the first day of school. This is a half day. All children MUST be picked up by 11:45. Wednesday, September 6 is our first full day. Please remember to pack your child a lunch. Also remember NO NUTS of any kind or products that are produced in a facility where there may be traces of nuts are allowed. We have a couple of nut allergies this year. This is a fatal situation for those children. Please always be mindful with lunches and snacks. Besides lunch your child should also bring in a crib sized sheet, or beach towel, and a blanket for rest time. Make sure the bag you have these items in are marked with the child’s name. We will send them home every Friday to be washed and returned on Mondays. If you have further questions please feel free to email myself or Ms. Stephanie. Looking forward to a great school year!

REMINDER: Parent Orientation Meeting will be this Wednesday, August 30 at 5:30 P.M. It will be held in the cafeteria. We will also accept any missing paperwork and school supplies at this time. We are looking forward to seeing our returning families and meeting our new families. Your child does not need to come that night, however, they are welcome. At the bottom of this blog, you will see OCR. If you would like the blog translated into a different language, you need to click below OCR and find the language that you need. PARENT ORIENTATION MEETING

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.  We will be having a Parent Orientation Meeting on Wednesday, August 30 at 5:30 p.m.  The meeting should not last longer than an hour.  At the meeting, Miss Stephanie and I will go over policies, accept paper work that has not be turned in, collect any purchased supplies, and answer all your questions.  We are looking forward to talking with all of you.

 

The Preschool Supply List is as follows:

  • Backpack (Please label with your child’s name)

  • Lunch Box (Please label with your child’s name)

 

PLEASE DO NOT LABEL THE FOLLOWING ITEMS SINCE THEY WILL BE SHARED ITEMS IN OUR CLASSROOM:

  • Printer paper

  • Sandwich bags (zip)

  • Gallon sized ziplock bags

  • 2 boxes of tissue

  • 2 packs of napkins

  • 1 box of 24 crayons

  • 1 package of glue sticks

  • 1 bottle of glue

  • 2-2 pocket plain plastic folders (no designs please)

  • 1 multi pack of play-doh

 

1 box 10-12 count THIN markers
