Happy snowy Sunday! Book club orders are due tomorrow. Please take a few minutes to check out this month’s selections. Field trip is this Friday. If you are meeting us there, please let us know. We have 18 students in our class when purchasing or making valentines. Please make sure your child signs them and has them ready to pass out. (This is good penmanship practice as well). Please DO NOT individualize any valentines. This may cause hurt feelings. Thank you for your cooperation.

ATTENTION: We will not be doing Friday folders in the month of February. This is due to just having conferences, the field trip, and mid -winter break. As always, if you have any questions about your child’s progress or behavior you are more than welcome to ask us. Tomorrow (February 1) is the day you may apply for the kindergarten lottery. If your child is planning on attending preschool with us next year, please register quickly. Spots are filling fast, and will be open to the outside on February 26. Early registration entitles you to $25 off the $200 registration fee. Next Monday, February 5 Scholastic Book Club orders are due. Have a great Wednesday!

We enjoyed each and everyone of the conferences. Thanks for taking the time out of your busy day to chat with us. A look ahead: This Thursday February , you may apply if your child is eligible for kindergarten on the website. If your child is staying with us another year, please register since spots are filling fast. Field trip to DNR is Friday, February 9. Wednesday, February 14 is Valentine’s Day. The teachers will be doing a small project with the children on that day. You may bring in valentines for your child to pass out. Please make sure your child has them ready by signing their name and having them already pulled apart. The teachers do not have time to prepare them for your child. You may also bring a treat for each child if you wish. If you choose to do so, please make sure there are no nuts. February 19-23 is Midwinter Break. No school for that week. Have a good Monday!

Good Morning! Please DO NOT pack lunch tomorrow. We will be celebrating Ali’s birthday with a pizza lunch. Today, your child is bringing home information on how to keep them healthy this winter. We have noticed that with the crazy weather, and a lot of them are in school for the first time, we are seeing more illness this year. Please make sure they get plenty of rest. It is recommended that a child of this age get between 10-13 hours of sleep every night. Also monitor diet and exercise. Lastly, we all know how important hand washing is. We put a lot of emphasis on it in our classroom. Please make sure you register for next year soon. You will get $25 off the registration fee, if you do it early. Also, field trip money is due next Friday. Siblings are welcome.
