Good Morning! I hope everyone enjoyed the break and stayed dry! During the month of March, we will be learning about Community Helpers. We are looking for parents or relatives to come in to tell us about their jobs. In the past we had doctors, nurses, lawyers, police officers, etc. The presentation can be short due to the children’s attention span. Remember, children are very proud when a parent comes in to the classroom. Please see me for a date and time, if you are interested. REMINDER: PARENTS SHOULD NOT BE IN THE BUILDING WITHOUT THE SECRETARY BUZZING THEM IN. THEY SHOULD NOT BE IN THE HALLWAYS. STAFF MEMBERS DO NOT KNOW ALL THE PARENTS AND WHO ACTUALLY BELONGS IN THE BUILDING AND WHERE THEY BELONG. PLEASE WAIT UNTIL 8:35 TO COME IN AND THERE IS NO REASON TO WALK YOUR CHILD TO A LOCKER. THE CHILDREN KNOW HOW TO BE RESPONSIBLE WHEN PUTTING THEIR BELONGINGS AWAY. WE THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION IN THIS MATTER. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT IN LIGHT OF THE RECENT SITUATION IN FLORIDA.

We are trying to locate to brand new rolling pins, cutters, and scissors that are missing from the art area. These items were purchased with Ms. Stephanie’s personal money. This is the most recent in many items missing from our classroom. If something is unfamiliar in your home, please check with us if it belongs at school. Do not panic if you find something. This can be typical for children of this age to take things that do not belong to them. It does not mean they are headed for a life of crime.

Good Morning! Tomorrow is Valentine’s Day. Make sure your child has 18 valentines to pass out to classmates. Your child needs to bring them in signed please! Several have asked about treats. Treats and valentines will be sent home in a bag that they have decorated. Please remember the NO NUT policy. Tomorrow at 8:45 we will have a tornado drill. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you get your child here on time. No one will be allowed in the building once the drill starts. You must also exit immediately. No parents will be allowed in the hallway during the drill. Thank you for your cooperation. Have a good day!

Good Morning! P.T.A. is still asking paper flower orders through Tuesday due to the snow day. This is your last week to register for preschool for next year. Please do so quickly if you plan on returning in the Fall. Next week we will NOT have school due to mid-winter break. Thanks to all those who ordered books this month. I am hoping they will be here in time for Valentine’s day. The latest update on my shipping notification was for Wednesday. Remember to have 18 Valentines for your child to pass. Please make sure your child signs their name and valentines are not individualized. Have a great week!

As most of you are aware, the weather forcast is calling for 5-9 inches of snow tomorrow. If school is cancelled you should be getting a robo call. Also, you can always tune into your local news for a list of school closing. Lastly, you can check on the Dearborn Schools website. We are still in the process of trying to reschedule the field trip. We will inform you as soon as we know something. Happy Thursday!

*It has come to our attention that this Friday a significant snowfall is expected. Regretfully, we have chosen to cancel the field trip regardless if school is in session or not. The safety of our families is our priority. We will be refunding your money to you within the next week. Our hope is to reschedule this trip. *If you are enrolling your child in our class for next year, please do so now. You have a little over a week before we open it up to outside registrations. Spots are filling quickly.
