News for the Week of May 25-29

Happy Memorial Day! I hope everyone has had a great long weekend and was able to get out and enjoy the weather.

There are only three weeks left of school left I can’t believe it! So, teachers and students will be busy finishing up year end responsibilities and celebrating the end of the year. Keeping this in mind, I will be posting events the next three weeks that will be taking place.

Teachers will post final grades on Monday, June 8th and report cards will go out the week of June 8th. Grades will be based on participation for the 4th card marking with the following grade system:

M=Meeting P=Progressing LP=Limited Progress

Reminder what is highlighted in yellow on the learning plan is the graded assignment for the week (Razkids, Eureka and Zearn, Writing). Other assignments are highly encouraged but will not be graded.

On Thursday, May 28 Howard will have a student distribution day from 11:30-2:30 pm. I will be distributing student belongings from the classroom such as; writing journals, folders, student work, belongings left in closet, pencil boxes, etc.) I will place items in a brown bag labeled with your child’s name.

Parents on the student distribution day please return; student book bags, LLI group reading books, books from the classroom, library books and any materials that belong to the school (do not return Chromebooks if borrowed at this time). There will be a drive by procedure as we did with the math workbooks. I also will have a year end memory book and for students.

Below is the Learning Plan for the Week of May 25-29.

I hope to see you all on Thursday!

Mrs. Polgar
