Dates to Remember:

Monday, May 15 – Detroit Zoo Field Trip – We will leave school promptly by 9:10 am and we should arrive at the zoo between 9:40-10:00 am. If you are meeting us at the zoo, plan on meeting us by the ticket booths near the front entrance. Chaperones should meet in the classroom by 9:00 am to receive your group information.

Don’t forget your child will need to bring a brown bag lunch from home. We ask that chaperones bring a back-pack to carry your group’s lunch bags. We need to be back at school by 2:30 pm. So, plan on meeting at the exit gates between 1:15-1:30 pm. The weather is supposed to be nice. So, have your child dress appropriately and apply sunscreen before the field trip.

Wednesday, May 17 – Late Start. Students report to school an hour later. There will be a sub in the afternoon. I have a committee meeting to attend.

Thursday, May 18 – There will be a sub for the whole day. I will be testing kindergartners for the following year.

I want to thank everyone who thought of me during Teacher Appreciation Week. The cards, snacks, flowers and pot-luck luncheon were wonderful. It’s simply nice to know when your appreciated.
