This week is Teacher Appreciation Week at Nowlin. A note went home last week with a list of ideas you can share with your teacher’s.

Monday, May 8 – Zoo field trip permission slip is due. Student’s must have a parent sign the permission slip to go on the field trip. Forms were sent out last week in blue folder. Teacher potluck – bring a dish to contribute to the luncheon.

Tuesday, May 9 – Bring a flower for your teacher’s.

Wednesday, May 10 – Library check-in/out. Make a card for your teacher’s.

Thursday, May ll – Wear your teacher’s favorite color. Mrs. Polgar’s favorite color is blue.

Friday, May 12 – Color Run 6:00 p.m. check-in and 6:30 event starts at Nowlin. Bring your teacher’s favorite snack. I love Bevita breakfast snacks, chocolate, just about anything!

Monday, May 15 – Detroit Zoo field trip. Further information will be sent out this week. I am waiting till Monday to collect all the permission slips so I can get a head count for the zoo. I will be purchasing train tickets for everyone going to the zoo from our class bake sale funds. We plan on boarding the train when we enter the zoo then we have less walking to do going back. The kids get very tired from a full day of walking so they do enjoy the train ride.

Spelling words for the week – “ed” family bed, fed, red   sight words – yes, went.
