Dates to Remember:

Monday, March 27 – Remember to turn in your gold reading log for March is Reading Month.

Wednesday, March 29 – Scheduled Parent Teacher Conferences after school.

Thursday, March 30 – Come join us for Literacy Night 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. There will be prizes, a scavenger hunt, book bingo, musical reading chairs, make and take bookmarks.

Friday, March 31 – March is Reading Month Finale – Assembly 2:30-3:15. Find out who the winning class is that read the most books. Prizes will be given out for individual reading logs. So, make sure you turn in your reading logs on Monday.

Friday is also PBIS March Celebration – P.J. (pajama) Day and you can also bring technology (I-pad, game-boy, etc.) and a snack for the celebration.

Spring Break – No school April 3 -7.

Thursday, April 13 – Mrs. Polgar’s Spring Egg Hunt. Students will need to bring 19 eggs with a small candy treat inside. If the egg is not secure when closing, please seal with tape. We don’t want treats to fall out during the egg hunt. Please provide a basket or bucket with your child’s name for your child to collect eggs. I will need volunteers to help out with the egg hunt. Parents to help hide eggs and supervise during hunt. Please let me know, if you are available in the afternoon for this event.

Spelling Words for Week – “id” word family – did, lid, kid. Sight words – little, play. Reminder; we are reviewing last week’s spelling words. Spelling notebooks will go home on Monday. If you already did the homework you can turn it in early or turn it in on Friday.

The year has gone by quick; I can’t believe it this week begins Card-Marking 4. Reports cards will be passed out this week to reflect Card-Marking 3. If you should have any questions regarding report cards, please let me know.
