News for Week of March 13 – 17

Dates to Remember:

Monday, March 13 – Turn in purple reading logs and a new reading log for the week will go home on Monday. State Representative Abdallah Hammoud will be our guest reader in the afternoon.

Tuesday, March 14 – Kindergarten round-up will start at 6pm. If you have a child or know anyone who will be entering kindergarten in September, please make sure to attend Kindergarten round-up. Also, I will not be in class in the afternoon I will be attending a workshop.

Wednesday, March 15 – Late start day. All students start school an hour later. Leprechaun traps are due.  We need to have traps turned in before St. Patrick’s Day so we can catch a Leprechaun the night before St. Patrick’s day.

Friday, March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day. We will see if anyone is lucky in class to catch a Leprechaun.

Spelling words for week – “ig” family – jig, big, pig Sight words – is, it, in.

Don’t forget to turn in a permission slip and money for Mini Martian Training/Marathon Race. Slips were due last week. On Wednesday, March 22 Mr. Vigilante will begin training for the marathon. Training is from 3:40-4:05 p.m. The Mini-Martian Marathon will take place on Saturday, April 22nd at 12:00 p.m. at Ford Field.
