Happy New Year! Ready to get back into the Routine? This week we will be reviewing and starting new beginnings in content areas. Let the new year begin in Kindergarten!
Dates to Remember
Monday, January 9 – Welcome back to School! Please remember to turn in blue folders and Winter Challenge homework.
Wednesday, January 11 – Library check-in and check-out.
Monday, January 16 – No school. Martin Luther King day.
This week we will review sight words, letters and sounds for readiness to begin our weekly spelling unit. Spelling units will begin the week of January 16th.
We will begin a short unit in Social Studies learning about the concepts of time. A timeline project will go home so that your child has a better understanding of the terms past, present and future. The timeline project will be due Friday, January 20.
The cold weather is here! Please remember to bundle up your child with a hat, gloves, snow-pants, boots and a warm coat.
I hope everyone had a joyous and restful break! I want to thank parent volunteers for helping out at the holiday party. It was a success many students said, “They a had a fun day!” Also, thank you all for remembering me during the holidays with gifts, gift cards, holiday cards, school supplies, candy, and holiday wishes. Thank you!
Stay warm and I am looking forward to seeing those wonderful Kinders!
