Week of March 31 – April 4

Dates to Remember:

Monday, March 31 – Opening Day – Tiger Day! Wear your tiger shirt or blue and orange.

Kindergarten/First Grade

Writing – Last week we had fun having the first graders read their “How to Make a Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwich.” The best part was making the PB&J sandwich and eating it! This week we will begin working on informational research reports.

Spelling Words

Kindergarten – “it” word family – bit, hit, sit, pit   sight words – find, help

First Grade – “pl” & “fl” blends – plop, plug, plan, flash, flat, flap,  sight words – must, please, saw

We had a lot of fun during March is Reading Month. Although reading month is over students should still read each night for homework to continue to building fluency. I am really pleased with our class participation during reading month.

Spring is Here! So, hopefully students will be getting outside for recess next week.
