Homework & Reminders 11-4-15

Tonight’s Homework:

  1. Folder- sight word “see” paper- 2 sides!
  2. Reading bag- sight words, NEW I SEE BOOK, and ABC letters/sounds
  3. Math bag- count to 25 AND write numbers 0-10 ***STUDENTS WILL BE TESTED ON THIS TOMORROW

Reminders:

  1. PLEASE send in a November snack for our class (17) to share.
  2. The can food drive has started! PLEASE send in some cans if you are able.
  3. Friday is a half day with students released at 11:45.

Homework & Reminders 11/2/15

Tonight’s Homework:

  1. Folder- Letter Nn bag, fins 3-5 things at home that you can bring in to share for the letter Nn, such as necklace, napkin, etc.
  2. Reading Bag- USE THOSE NEW WITCH FINGERS to practice pointing to the first letter of each word as you read your books as practiced in reading groups today, continue to practice sight words and ABC letters/sounds EACH night!!!
  3. Math Bag- count to 100 (orally) and write numbers 0-10— will be tested on numbers THURSDAY so practice a little EACH night!!!

Reminders:

TODAY is the start of Holiday Canned Food Drive begins. Oakman School and Hype team up to distribute turkeys from Hype and canned/boxed food from Oakman students for the Thanksgiving meal. We will continue until December 16. 

 There will be a class competition. Each Friday the School Safeties will collect and count the cans. In December the class with the most food collected wins a party of their choice. Please do not send in food with white labels from the government. 

Tuesday:   NO SCHOOL!!!! 

Meet at Zap Zone in Taylor and have some fun, fun,fun! This is a fundraiser for the PTA so if we get 70 people to participate the PTA will get a $200 check. Support Oakman PTA and have a blast with your friends and neighbors!!!

 

Wednesday: 2nd and 5th Grade Field Trips.  School Store.

T-shirts still for sale. Wear your shirt every Friday to school and during the Core Value Assemblies.

Thursday:

Friday: popcorn am, no pizza 

1/2 Day! Children are dismissed at 11;45 am

Homework & Reminders 10-28-15

Tonight’s Homework:

  1. Folder- sight word said, complete both sides please.
  2. Reading Bag- sight words, books, and ABC– they should know ALL their letters, even out of order!!! For example X, then R, then B..
  3. Math Bag- counting to 100 and writing numbers 0-10, Math quiz 10-29-15 numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.

Reminders:

  1. We will be having our Halloween party on Friday.  We would like to have a special, healthy snack for the kids (see picture below).  PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU ARE ABLE TO BRING IN baby oranges, bananas, or chocolate chips for snack. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR HELPING MAKE THIS A SPECIAL DAY!!!

  1. Folder- letter L bag, find 3-5 things to share that start with L, such as lego, leaves, lemon, etc.
  2. Reading Bag- KEEP practicing those sight words every night! Read books and practice ABC letters/sound (will be test over letters/sounds on WEDNESDAY.)
  3. Math Bag- count to 100 and write 0-10

  1. Pumpkin patch is Wednesday!  Please send in $1.00 for a pumpkin.

  2. Reading Bag- sight words (the, to, and, he, a I, you, it, of, in), books, and ABC letters/sounds, names
  3. Math Bag- count to 100 and write numbers 0-1-

Reminders:

  1. $2.00 to PTA by Friday for pumpkin patch and candy bags.  There are still more Oakman shirts for $5.00 if you would like your child to purchase.  On Fridays, students/staff will be encouraged to wear their shirts for school spirit.
