  1. Folder— sign behavior calendar, PAPER- circle the sight word “the” and practice reading simple sentences by pointing at each word as you read.  Parents first, then child.—Letter Tt bag! if you did not bring today.Today we talked about the letter Tt and its /t/ sound, like in turtle, toys, truck, etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the t sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, September 26th).  Thank you!
  2. Reading Bag-Reading bag, work on name puzzle, ABC chart (identifying letters and sounds–try out of order!),  each child has 4   books to practice “reading the pictures”  (you can read the words for the to practice listening to reading)  students have a “plastic” paper with their name on it to practice writing their name… wipe off with tissue and practice everyday— on the last line, they NEED to try ALL BY THEMSELVES!  NEW!!!! practice tapping new sight word “t-h-e—-the like we did in class).  NEW CARD on ring in their bag, practice each night!
  3.  Math Bag- using number chart to practice counting and number recognition, use counting cubes to work on one-to-one with counting.
Reminders:
  1. Field Trip Tomorrow!!!

Dear Parents,

Our field trip to the apple orchard is TOMORROW (Wednesday September 27th. We will leave on the bus at around 9:15.

Some things to remember:

Dress appropriate for the weather and wear comfortable shoes for being outside.

We will be leaving school around 9:15.  ALL students will need to use the restroom before we get on the bus.  If you think your child, may have difficultly on the long bus ride, please send in a change of clothes.

      ALL students and parents chaperons must pack a lunch and bring a drink.  NO GLASS!

Parents that are driving, we will give you a Google map to the orchard.

***We have plenty of space on the bus but younger siblings CANNOT go on the bus.

  1. Folder— sign behavior calendar— RETURN PERMISSION SLIP AND MONEY FOR FIELD TRIP!!! NEED THEM BY MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 25, OR YOUR CHILD CAN’T COME ON THE TRIP!
  2. Reading Bag-Reading bag, work on name puzzle, ABC chart (identifying letters and sounds–try out of order!),  each child has  little books to practice “reading the pictures”  (you can read the words for the to practice listening to reading) NEW!!! students have a “plastic” paper with their name on it to practice writing their name… wipe off with tissue and practice everyday— on the last line, they NEED to try ALL BY THEMSELVES!

  4. Cut out letter Mm and practice writing your name on the bottom, the sheet is in your child’s folder.
Reminders:
  1. Our gym days are Tuesday and Friday so please send your child with gym shoes.
  2. ****************THIS Friday (September 22) there is NO SCHOOL for Kindergarten.  This is district wide for teaching training.

Field Trip Permission Slips were sent home yesterday for the Apple orchard.  Please sign and return WITH MONEY— exact amount needed. (I am only collecting permission slips that have money with them!!!!) Parents if you want to attend please note that on the form and send $$$ for yourself as well.  Parents can ride the bus with us.  Younger siblings cannot go on the bus (parents can drive separately).
