1. Folder- new sight word “little” paper- 2 sides
2. Reading Bag- sight words and books
3. Math Bag- play math games (10 frame and counters, cards to compare, and dice for roll, write, and count)

Reminders:

1. TOMORROW (Wednesday) is a late start, school will begin at 9:35.  Breakfast will be at 9:00.
2. Thursday there will be a bake.  Please send in goodies with your child if you are able. 
3. Thursday, December 17th is HOLIDAY MOVIE NIGHT at 4PM in the GYM ($2.00 to enter and you get popcorn).
4. Friday we will have a class party beginning at 1:45.  Please see the sign up sheet posted in the hallway for items needed for the party.

Tonight’s Homework:

1. Folder- letter r bag, find 3-5 things at home to bring in to share that start with the r-sound, like ring, rainbow, rope, etc.
2. Reading Bag- sight words and books
3. Math Bag- practice all games (cards, dice, and ten-frame with counters). The NEW game is with the gray paper, dice, and marker— roll the dice… see how many dots and find that number on the paper — if 6 roll again— practice writing the number on the lines NEATLY and then draw the dots to match

Reminders:

1. We are collecting canned foods and boxes for ONE MORE WEEK.  Our class goal is to get to 100 items, so far we only have 26.  Please donate if you can!  You can also donate hats, gloves, mittens, scarfs for the giving tree and they will be added to our class total.
2.  Help to decorate the tree in the cafeteria with winter items for those in need.

This weekend’s homework:

1. Folder- making 10 paper, 2 sides… use your game in the math bag for the back!  color how many red, how many yellow and write the math sentence.
2. Reading Bag- sight words and BOOKS!! Students will be tested over their sight words before break so make you are practicing a few minutes EACH night!
3. Math Bag- play new math games with the ten frame (Making Ten) and deck of playing cards (Comparing Numbers)

Reminders:

1. We will be collecting can foods until Monday, December 14th.  If you are at the store this weekend, please pick up a can or box to donate.
2. Also, we need December snacks to share with the class.  PLEASE no cookies or juice for snack— crackers, goldfish, pretzels, etc. work best.

3. Math Bag- card game to compare numbers, “which is greater?”   NEW GAME- making 10… shake 10 counters and roll… count how many red and how many yellow then make a number sentence ___ (red) + ___ (yellow) = 10 Another new math game play war the directions are in their math bags.

1. Tomorrow there will be popcorn and pizza for sale.
2. Tomorrow we will be counting how many cans and boxes our class has brought in for the food drive- please send in some food with your child if you are able to do so.
