Homework & Reminders 4-11-19

** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and, a, we, go, my, in, is, has, for, are, here, you, dog, up, on, have, said, it, she, me, went, make, they, play, no and 2 NEW sight words big and down.

3.READING GROUP BAG—> , re-read old books for fluency AND read NEW book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: “Find a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the /s/ sound. ETC.”  Please keep alphabet linking chart and on back NEW consonants blends and digraphs in their bag– this is to help with reading and writing during reading groups and can be practiced at home as part of 15 minutes of reading each night!

4. Math Module 4 NEW homework workbook-lesson 19, helper on page 75 and homework page 77.

5. Spelling Notebook

Great stories to listen to and ask and answer the 6 questions from previous post– who, what, when, where, how, and why to gain comprehension skills and build vocabulary— we are working on answering question in complete sentences. For example: “Who are the characters?” “The characters are……”

TODAY AFTER SCHOOL ARE SCHEDULED conferences after school.  If you received a conference reminder, please BE ON TIME to your appointment.  At conferences, report cards will be given out.  If you do not have a scheduled conference, your child’s report card will be sent home in their folder in a envelope that will need to be signed and returned.

    • Write each spelling word using one color for consonants and another color for vowels. Repeat 2 times.

    • Write each spelling word in pencil. Now use a crayon to trace each word in that color. Pick another color and repeat.
