Homework & Reminders 5-17-19
1. Oakman Folder-Sign and return behavior calendar for MAY!!– please compete poetry homework— The Little Red Hen– students must read with expression and use “special marks” to read how we talk.
** All sight words on ring are: I, the, can, see, like, to, look, at, come, and, a, we, go, my, in, is, has, for, are, here, you, dog, up, on, have, said, it, she, me, went, make, they, play, no, boy, dog, boy, girl, so, do, and NEW words was and got and one and two.
3.READING GROUP BAG—> , re-read old books for fluency AND read NEW book 3 times remembering to point to each word as you read AND extend to asking questions such as: “Find a sight word on this page. Point to word that starts with the /s/ sound. ETC.” Please keep alphabet linking chart and on back NEW consonants blends and digraphs in their bag– this is to help with reading and writing during reading groups and can be practiced at home as part of 15 minutes of reading each night!
4. Math Homework Workbook– Module 5, lesson 3— homework help on page 177 and DO HOMEWORK PAGE 179.
5. Spelling Notebook New words are in their notebooks

NWEA practice- Students may go on CLEVER and go to letter “e” to work on their “reading” path to help prepare for NWEA READING NEXT WEEK (MONDAY)– please be aware that you will need to monitor as they do their path and assist some as it can be tricky for them to do independently.

- Write each spelling word using one color for consonants and another color for vowels. Repeat 2 times.
