Happy Memorial Weekend and Happy Eid Mubarak

All Dearborn Public Schools will be closed Friday, May 22, 2020 through Monday, May 25, 2020 in observance of the Memorial Day Weekend.   

Teachers, Principals, and other Dearborn Public Schools staff members and offices will not be available on-line, on the phone, or via e-mail during this time period.  All staff is on break. 

We look forward to seeing everyone back on-line and virtually on Tuesday, May 26, 2020.

Yesterday we had 17 of 19- friends– That is ALMOST EVERYONE completed their work and send me their assignments!!! If you missed ANY assignments from the week or are behind on RAZ kids/Zearn minutes, try to finish up TODAY so you are able to enjoy the long, holiday weekend! Let’s make this week a week of EXTREMELY HIGH participation– Remember RAZ kids and Zearn computer time/activities will needed to be completed to get ALL participation points (vs. most) !!

Here is our class report from RAZ KIDS from this week so far—Monday, May 18 too Wednesday, May 20th……  shout out to ADAM, ALI A., ALI I., ALI M., DHARGHAM, AMAR, HAIDAR, LARA, MEHDI, MELAK, OMAR, SADEK, AND ZAHRAA who have already read more than 60 minutes this week!!!!! It is my hope is that everyone has 60 minutes on RAZ kids BEFORE Friday so you can enjoy the long weekend!!!

Yesterday, we WERE WAY ABOVE our class goal of 20 minutes- Let’s keep our bar at or ABOVE the red line- that means 20 minutes today for EVERYONE!!  Remember 20 minutes is a “special goal” because that is the stamina time 1st grade teachers expect for independent reader so let’s show Mrs. Fowler that you are READY FOR 1ST GRADE!!! 20 minutes!!! You can do it!!!

Here is our activity tracker for ZEARN KINDERGARTEN LEVEL (make sure to go on for 20 minutes today!!!) I am tracking and need to see all my friends go on EACH day- and complete at least 1 activity a day to make 4 completed activities for the week for ALL participation points!! We had 1/1 friends work on ZEARN Yesterday at the kindergarten numbers 0-20. Congratulations Sadek moved up to 1st grade level yesterday!!!

We had 11 out of 17 friends who are working on FIRST grade or HIGHER math, work on ZEARN yesterday. Remember try should finish at least 1 activity a day to have 4 done for the end of the week for ALL participation points! Special shout out to RUBA, AMAR, HAIDAR, ALI A., NAYA, LARA, MEHDI, ADAM, AND MELAK who have ALREADY DONE 4 or more activities on ZEARN this week!!! I’m so proud of my kindergarten class! On Saturday, May 16, 2020: these friends went above and beyond the minimum participation and choose to do extra over the weekend! Way to go: ALI ISMAIL READ FOR 47 MINUTES, AMAR READ FOR 20 MINUTES, NOUR READ FOR 11 MINUTES, OMAR READ FOR 33 MINUTES, RUBA READ FOR 32 MINUTES, AND SADEK READ FOR 59 MINUTES. On Sunday, May 17, 2020: these friends went above and beyond as well. I am sooooooo happy to report  HIGH assignment participation from last week!!! Monday 19/19, Tuesday, 19/19, Wednesday 17/19, Thursday 19/19, and Friday 18/19 students of completed work by sending my daily pictures on on the REMIND APP!!! I am counting overall participation including logging onto raz-kids for at least 1 hour for the week and zearn doing at least 4 activities for the week. We had 2 friend complete “some” of the work this week, 3 friends complete “most” work, and 14 friends complete ALL OF THE WORK THIS WEEK– daily assignments, raz-kids minutes, and at least 4 ZEARN activities- wow!! WOW!! wow!!! Let’s get higher participation on RAZ kids and ZEARN next week so more friends can earn *ALL* participation points!!

We had 5 out of 5 days of meeting our time class goal of 6 hours (20 minutes each student) we went WAY above our class goal daily everyday. SPECIAL SHOUT OUT TO LARA, MELAK, AND ALI ISMAIL for being our ALL TIME TOP EARNERS this week!!!!!! Also special shout out to OMAR NOW A LEVEL E, DHARGHAM NOW A LEVEL E, HAIDAR NOW A LEVEL C, ALI A. Shout out to AMAR for finishing 27 activities this week!! Ali I., Mehdi, and Melak have completed 7 ZEARN ACTIVITIES THIS WEEK!!! WOW!! WOW! WOW!!!
