1. Folder— sign behavior calendar FOR NOVEMBER!

 

2. Sight word paper “go” for tonight

#1 Reading Group Book (black at white copy) fill out on READING LOG!  Some students have a new yellow log in their bags!

#2 Practice ALL 15 sight word cards including NEW word “go”

#3 Play Letter Name Game!   *Remember to make the SOUND for each letter as you play!!

***These are the 3 JOBS they do EVERYDAY at READ TO SELF time and NEED to practice at home EACH NIGHT AS WELL FOR 15 MINUTES!

3. Math Bag- Math Workbook Unit 2 needs to be complete by December 22– Please continue doing a page each night!

Reminders:

This Wednesday will be Oakman’s first Celebration of Success Assembly in the PM.  Parents are welcome to attend!!!

The Celebration Assembly is scheduled for this Wednesday November 29th. Grades 3-5 1:30-2:20 and Grades K-2 2:30-3:30. Parents are welcome!

Homework 11-27-17

 Homework

1. Folder— sign behavior calendar FOR NOVEMBER!

Letter Rr bag!

Today we talked about the letter Rr and its /r/ sound, like in ring, rake, rainbow etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the r sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, November 28th).  Thank you!

2. Reading Bag-

Letter match game for homework! In reading bags… practice letters and SOUNDS out of order!

How to play:  Pick a letter from the baggie… name the letter and make its sound– then match the letter to the board.. it might be match a lowercase to uppercase! Try to the uppercase board, then try the lowercase board (on the back).  Remember to make the sound after you say the letter name… For example: If i pick “w”… say w… then make the sound /w/… say a word the BEGINS with that sound too for MORE practice /w/w/w/ window.  The song below is another way to practice letters and sound OUT OF ORDER— this is important because students are tested with the letters OUT OF ORDER!!

Also, please practice ALL 15 sight words– mark with a 🙂 if your child knows the word by SIGHT! (memorize)

Today we talked about the letter Ll and its /l/ sound, like in leaf, lizard, and lego etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the b sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, November 21th).  Thank you!
