Homework & Reminders 1-25-18
1. Folder— sign behavior calendar for JANUARY!—
Sh WORD bag!
Yesterday we talked about WORDS that have a sh sound like, sheep, ship, shark, fish etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that have the sh sound in the WORD and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Friday, January 26, 2018). Thank you!
2. Reading Bag-
#1 Reading Group Books—fill out READING LOG for NEW book! Students have a log in their reading bags!
#2 Practice ALL 25 sight word cards including NEW word “she.” Have your child look for this word in books and talk to them about how to use it properly in a sentence (for a BOY). Have them use the word in a sentence they come up with! Practice the sight word she tonight for homework.
3. Math Bag- Math Workbook Units 3 and 4 need to be completed before our February Break.– Please continue doing a page each night! This is also GOOD PRACTICE FOR NWEA MATH!!! We take our NWEA MATH test on January 26th.
Reminders:
THIS Friday, January, 26 is a half day for the end of the marking period.
No School next Friday, February 2, 2018 Kindergarten MEETING.
NWEA TESTING TOMORROW FOR MATH AT 9AM, GO TO BED EARLY AND HAVE A HEALTHY BREAKFAST.

1. Folder— sign behavior calendar for JANUARY!—no paper! INSTEAD Have your child look for this word in books and talk to them about how to use it properly in a sentence (for a BOY). Have them use the word in a sentence they come up with! For additional practice have them write the word 3 times and write it in a sentence!
Long U WORD bag!— if you didn’t bring today, tomorrow is last chance!!

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY, 24, 2018, is our NWEA test for READING!!!
A Report like BELOW will be sent home with report cards.
Wednesday, January 24rd will be READING at 9:00am
Friday, January 26th will be MATH at 9:00am
Please talk to your child about the importance of this test and make sure they are well-rested, fed, and ready to do their best!

Long U WORD bag!
Today we talked about WORDS that have a long u sound like, juice, blue, glue, cube, etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that have the long u sound in the WORD and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, January 23rd). Thank you!
2. Reading Bag-
#1 Reading Group Books—fill out READING LOG for NEW book! Students have a log in their reading bags!
#2 Practice ALL 24 sight word cards including NEW word “little”— they should know these words quickly by sight— no more saying each letter—T-H-E—THE, now it should just be the word “the”! Today we talked about opposites, big is the opposite of little! Try to talk about opposites with your child at home this weekend!
3. Math Bag- Math Workbook Units 3 and 4 need to be completed before our February Break.– Please continue doing a page each night! This is also GOOD PRACTICE FOR NWEA MATH!!! We take our NWEA MATH test on January 26th.
