2. Reading Bag-

*** Reading Group Books—fill out READING LOG for NEW reading group book!

***Practice ALL 27 sight word cards including NEW word “down.” Have your child look for this word in books and talk to them about how to use it properly in a sentence. Have them use the word in a sentence they come up with!

3. Math Bag– Practice using 100 chart to count to 100 by 1’s, 5’s, and 10’s.  Try without chart! Try in a song! Try writing numbers!  (MIX IT UP! MAKE IT FUN!) Homework pages 39 and 40 return tomorrow please.

4. Spelling Notebook– See inside cover  for nightly homework

Monday: Write words three times each in spelling notebook.

Reminders:

Valentine’s Day—Wednesday, February 14th—*****WEAR RED*****

We will have a class party on Wednesday, February 14th from  9 am to 12 noon.    We will be doing some valentine’s math with candy hearts (graphing) and making a craft in the morning.   We will have a special PIZZA PARTY lunch and snack at 11:15 followed by passing out valentine’s cards.  PARENT ARE INVITED TO COME!   If you would like your child to pass out valentine’s, Please send in 16 valentine cards/treats signed by your child (Leave to the TO part BLANK.)Please send in $5.00 for the party supplies by Tuesday, February 13th.  This will cover cost of the pizza, craft supplies, juice, and snacks.

PLEASE send in a shoe box, cereal box, tissue box, or some kind of box that size so we can decorate a valentine’s box on Wednesday!

Jump Rope for the heart money is due on VALENTINE’S DAY— earn money to help a great cause and help OAKMAN reach our school goal!

2. Reading Bag-

Thursday: Use your spelling words in a sentence use your sight word ring to help you.

th  WORD bag!  *This is our LAST phonics bag so make sure you bring yours to share!!!

Today we talked about WORDS that have a th sound like, Thursday, thumb, thermos,  teeth, cloth etc.  Please find 3-5 items at home that have the th sound in the WORD and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Tuesday, February 6th).  Please return tomorrow if you have not turned it in please.
