1. Folder— sign behavior calendar for May!!

Fill in new orange reading log with at LEAST 15 minutes of reading (Oakman Read at home pledge).  This time should include reading group books and sight words!! **When students fill in their whole reading log, they earn a prize!!!

2. Reading Bag- Please read ALL books in your bag, especially reading group books!

3. Math Bag– Practice addition (put together) and subtraction (take away) with simple stories at home.

4. Spelling Notebook—

  • Tuesday: Consonants/Vowels!
    • Write each spelling word using one color for consonants and another color for vowels. Repeat 2 times.

5. Green Math Workbook— No Homework assigned tonight!  Enjoy the beautiful weather and make an addition story outside. For example, I see 5 little worms in the soil and 3 big worms.  How many worms in all?????

We need more snacks for the field day fundraiser— juice, Gatorade, lemonade pouches are a favorite as the weather is warmer!!

Field Day Fundraiser

This week it is kindergarten’s turn to sell snacks at lunch.

Field Day is around the corner (May 11th) and we need to raise some funds to support having one. We are asking that each grade level asks their students to bring in snacks to sell during lunch.  ( possible snacks are chips, lollipops, Goldfish, Cheez-It, juice boxes, individually wrapped mini muffins…. etc)

Prices range from $.25 – $1.00. Our safeties will help run the snack stand in the cafe.

Kindergarten Spelling Week of April 30th Test on FRIDAY, May 4th! This week’s spelling words are: here make play sad dad Plus 2 other words from the –ad family (such as mad, bad, pad, lad, had, glad etc.) Thank you for practicing spelling words EACH NIGHT by doing daily assignments (inside cover) in their spelling notebooks!

 1. Folder— sign behavior calendar for LAST DAY IN April!!  Complete sight word practice assessment for first 50 words and study any unknown words so your are ready for the test with me TOMORROW!!! Return practice test in folder with number correct at the bottom!

Yogurtopia Fundraiser on May 5th!!!!

Our 5th grade parents are having a fundraiser at Yogurtopia! . All proceeds will go towards giving our 5th graders a memorable promotion/ graduation ceremony.
