1. Folder— sign behavior calendar FOR OCTOBER! APPLE OF MY EYE PAPER— please do WITH your child- this is important part of our goal setting and will be displayed in the classroom (please add a photo!!)

RETELLING Homework— parents must sign that they did this (see previous blog post for details)– Many did not have signed paper!

2. Reading Bag-Reading bag, work on name puzzle, ABC chart (identifying letters and sounds–try out of order!), each child has  NEW books to practice “reading the pictures” (you can read the words for the to practice listening to reading).   All students also have gotten a black and white paper book from their READING GROUP… practice pointing to each word and READING THE WORDS in this book—they should be able to do it mostly on their own– please check in and monitor so they are practicing correctly!  Practice NEW sight word “a—-A-—a!!!”  See if they can find this new sight word in their books!

3. Math Bag- using number chart to practice counting and number recognition, use counting cubes to work on one-to-one with counting.  NEW!!! students made a “I can Make Ten” book that they can practice reading and making the numbers to match the ten frames with their fingers, See example below

Blankets were sent home today and can be kept at home!! We now do rest and snack at the same time…
