Homework & Reminders 2-8-17

Tonight’s Homework:

  1. Folder: Please read the letter about we are starting SPELLING!  They got a new notebook yesterday and have weekly homework (see the inside cover). Spelling tonight write each word in rainbow colors. Last nights homework was to write each word using red for vowels (A, E, I, O, U) and blue for consonants if you did not finish this please do it tonight . If you did not complete assignment for Monday please do Monday and Tuesday tonight.
  2.  Letter Ee bag- Fill the Ee bag with things that make the long or short Ee sound.  Egg, Eagle, Elephant… bring to school tomorrow.  Reading Bag- practice all sight words, new word today, “red”  read books GO ON MYON to listen to all kinds of books!!! This is a great way to learn vocabulary for NWEA!
  3. On the back of the spelling notebook is our Poem Book a note was sent in the folder today.  Read the poem together and sign the back cover and return to school.
  1. Math Bag- we are doing Geometry in math!  Practice reading your shape books!  ALSO GO ON MOBY MAX for lots of great math practice!

Reminders:

Report cards were sent home today keep the report card at home and sign the envelope and return to school tomorrow.

On Wednesday Feb 15th there will be a school wide skate night at the Lincoln Park Skating Center from 4:30 to 6:30.
The bus is a on a first come,  first board basis for 2-5th graders. Permission slips for the bus are available with Ms. Amged from 8:30 to 1pm or with me from 1 to 4pm. No one else has this form or a ticket. Tickets will be distributed on the bus before we leave.
All parents will drive on their own to the rink. K and 1st graders must be accompanied by a parent.
 Tickets are $10 each which covers the $2 skate rental and $8 entrance fee. Even if they bring their own skates it is still $10 . Concessions are extra. They will be hungry right after school so remind them to bring extra money to buy food there.
 There will be no exception for K or 1st grade siblings on the bus. ​–Kindergartens MUST go with their parent in their parent’s car.
