  1. Oakman Folder- sign Behavior calendar for MARCH!!!**PLEASE RSVP for FAMILY GAME NIGHT (flyer in folders yesterday)***Please remember to send in a healthy snack for the class (20 students). They love apples, bananas, goldfish, bars, etc— no juice or cookie please.
  1. Reading bag- ***45*** TOTAL NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS— come, for, are, said, this, one, little, play, me, here, am, do, not, who, with, I, like, the, see, we, go, can, she, a, at, is, was, will, he, has, on, in, and, you, up, look, it, my, to, dog, want, yes, have, no, and her. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!
  2. READING GROUP BAG — Everyone has a new book to read three times each tonight, have someone sign when you’re finished. READ every day and focus on fluency and comprehension. To move UP reading levels students need to be able to read the words accurately and COMPREHEND (understand what I read). After reading books, please practice using the handout for the “retelling rope” see picture below!! (Don’t forget to ask your child– what was your favorite part of the story and WHY? or what did this story remind you of?)

3. Math Homework MODULE 4 Book, Lesson 23 homework helper page 91 homework page 93.

4. Spelling New words are in the notebooks

Parent Meeting March 6, 2020

Oakman families are truly the BEST! Thank you for the great turn out at today’s meeting. We held an informative session where many important issues were discussed. We hope this was beneficial to all.

Congratulations to Mr. Ali Dgeish who was recognized for always going above and beyond in all his duties and for being a great mentor and role model to our students!

Tomorrow we have a special visitor coming to Oakman school!!! If you want to purchase the book to be signed for your child it will be $20 at the door! Dress in RED tomorrow to show our excitement for our guest!!!! GO RED WINGS!

Please read at least 15 minutes each day and record how many minutes in the box next to each day (more than 15 is greeeeeeat!!!!)
