- Reading bag- ***45*** TOTAL NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS— come, for, are, said, this, one, little, play, me, here, am, do, not, who, with, I, like, the, see, we, go, can, she, a, at, is, was, will, he, has, on, in, and, you, up, look, it, my, to, dog, want, yes, have, no, and her. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!
- READING GROUP BAG — Read three times each tonight, have someone sign when you’re finished. READ every day and focus on fluency and comprehension. To move UP reading levels students need to be able to read the words accurately and COMPREHEND (understand what I read). After reading books, please practice using the handout for the “retelling rope” see picture below!! (Don’t forget to ask your child– what was your favorite part of the story and WHY? or what did this story remind you of?) Story Retelling is KEY to comprehension!!! See if your child can tell you the following from their books in their bag, library book, and/or NEW book from this week Duck, Duck, Dinosaur!!!
3. Math Homework MODULE 4 Book, Lesson 24 homework helper page 95 homework page 97.
4. Spelling Notebooks— ****Test IS ON FRIDAY! New words are glued in black spelling notebooks for the week.
- Monday: Rainbow Spelling!
- Write each spelling word in pencil. Now use a crayon to trace each word in that color. Pick another color and repeat.
5. NEW library book were chosen Tuesday!! Use these for minutes for reading log challenge for MARCH IS READING MONTH!!! ** 20 minutes every day!!!***
