1. Reading bag- 40 TOTAL NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS— come, for, are, said, this, one, little, play, me, here, am, do, not, who, with, I, like, the, see, we, go, can, she, a, at, is, was, will, he, has, on, in, and, you, up, look, it, my, to, and dog. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!* TEST OVERALL 40 words will be when we come back from Mid-Winter break!!!*
2. READING GROUP BAG — READ every day and focus on fluency and comprehension. *If your child did not get a new book, focus on RETELLING— new books will not be given every day so more focus can be on comprehension. To move UP reading levels students need to be able to read the words accurately and COMPREHEND (understand what I read). After reading books, please practice using the handout for the “retelling rope” see picture below!! (Don’t forget to ask your child– what was your favorite part of the story and WHY? or what did this story remind you of?)

4. Math Homework MODULE 4 Book, Lesson 6— homework helper is on page 23 and homework is on page 25.

5. Spelling Notebook:

• Spelling words are glued into your child’s spelling notebook. We will have our test on Friday, February 14th!!!
• Monday: Rainbow Spelling!
  • Write each spelling word in pencil. Now use a crayon to trace each word in that color. Pick another color and repeat it.

6. POEM BOOKS ARE BACK!!!!!!!! Please read and discuss the 100th-day poem!!

7. Library Books are due back tomorrow!
