Homework— ( 4 things!!!) AND LIBRARY BOOKS MUST BE RETURNED ON Tuesday or you can’t check a new book out!! Dress in your career dream tomorrow.
- Oakman Folder- sign and return behavior calendar for OCTOBER! *PLEASE COMPLETE APPLE OF MY EYE PAPER THIS WEEKEND– Please attach a photo if you have one and cut out as this will be part of a goal setting project we will be working on with our 3rd grade buddies.***Please send in money ($20.00) for our classroom parties for the year.
2. Reading bag- NEW SIGHT WORDS ARE IN THEIR BAGS— I, like, the, see, we, go, can, she, a, at, is, was, and will. We got three new sight words today: has, he, and on. Practice each night to MEMORIZE THESE WORDS!
3. READING GROUP BAG – Read and Re-read for fluency books to be ready to WRITE about our reading– work on letter sounds!!! (Also can you login code and password to read/listen to more books on the computer)
Please fill in log each day!!! Please use the pointer finger to put their finger under the first letter of each word as they read. Please read the book at least 3 times and sign the paper inside their bags so I know they did their job! Please send the reading bag back to school each day. ***IF YOU HAVE FLUENCY DOWN, PARENTS PLEASE EXTEND the reading by asking questions such as:
- Find the WORD “the” on this page.
- What LETTER do you see at the beginning of the WORD?
- What LETTER do you see at the end of the WORD?
- After reading, can you RETELL what happened?? What happened in the beginning, middle, and end?
4. Math Homework- Lesson 34 homework page 139– (helper on page 137).
5. Poem read the new poem with your child and sign the front cover: Little Miss Muffet.
***Make sure all 4 things (PLUS LIBRARY BOOK– Must have on Tuesday!) come back to school in backpacks!!!
