1. Folder— sign behavior calendar FOR OCTOBER! Sight word practice test on half sheet— they will be tested by me next week over all 8 words: and, a, I, like, my, to, the, you  ****REMEMBER TO FILL IN GREEN READING LOG with black and white reading group book!!  ***Practice reading pointing at the dots on the bottom of the I like my____. paper.

2. Reading Bag-Practice ALL 8 sight word cards including NEW word “my”–   All students also have gotten a black and white paper book from their READING GROUP… practice pointing to each word and READING THE WORDS in this book—they should be able to do it mostly on their own– please check in and monitor so they are practicing correctly!

3. Math Bag- NEW MATH WORKBOOK— finish unit 1 (up to page 13) by November 9th—that is about 1 PAGE EACH DAY  using number chart to practice counting and number recognition, use counting cubes to work on one-to-one with counting.  NEW!!! students made a “I can Make Ten” book that they can practice reading and making the numbers.

4.  Ask me about my POEM book I will read you the poem about pumpkins, then in the front left side of the front cover put the date what poem you read.  Then parents please sign that you read it.

*****Please let the PTA (Mrs. Amged at the office) know if you are willing to decorate your car and help out on Halloween in the afternoon  (1:00-3:00 or so).  Our class party will begin at 2:00.  Please come at 1:45 if you would like to help set up.  We will trunk or treat at 2:30– parents are welcome to join the FUN! 🙂
