Letter Ss bag!

Today we talked about the letter Ss and its /s/ sound, like in sun, snake, snow etc. Please find 3-5 items at home that start with the s sound and put them in this bag for your child to share in class tomorrow (Thursday, October 26th).  Thank you!

2. Reading Bag-Practice ALL 7 sight word cards including NEW word “like”–   All students also have gotten a black and white paper book from their READING GROUP… practice pointing to each word and READING THE WORDS in this book—they should be able to do it mostly on their own– please check in and monitor so they are practicing correctly!

3. Math Bag- NEW MATH WORKBOOK— finish unit 1 (up to page 13) by November 9th—that is about 1 PAGE EACH DAY  using number chart to practice counting and number recognition, use counting cubes to work on one-to-one with counting.  NEW!!! students made a “I can Make Ten” book that they can practice reading and making the numbers.

Reminders:

PTA NEEDS $3.00 for each child to participate in trunk or treat (and pumpkin patch) BY FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27— if you do not pay, your child CANNOT participate!!!

*****Please let the PTA (Mrs. Amged at the office) know if you are willing to decorate your car and help out on Halloween in the afternoon  (1:00-3:00 or so).
