Tonight’s Homework:
- Folder-Please sign behavior calendars! Please read the NWEA letter and check the schedule on the back for your child’s test date. *We talked about VOWELS today… ASK your child, “What makes Vowels special??” (They should know— they have 2 sounds AND every word has at least 1 vowel in it) A-E-I-O-U and sometimes Y! - Reading Bag- new sight word *COME* practice all sight words and ALL books!
- Math Bag- work on counting to 100 by 1s, 5s, and 10s… YOUTUBE, count by 1 or count by 5s, or count by 10s to 100 for some good songs to practice.— 10 frame game with counters— please ask your child about the new game we learned today— directions are on the back of the paper if needed! 🙂 ALSO practice naming 2D and 3D shapes by READING your SHAPES BOOK! We have a new game in our math bags: compare numbers which is greater when playing war gets to collect the cards. The player with the most cards wins at the end.

Monkey Raffle all week long. Winner of a huge stuffed monkey will be announced next week on Tuesday the 31st. Tickets are $1 each in the office and after school. January birthdays are displayed on the tv in each classroom. Come have your picture taken by Mrs. Dakroub.
